Explanation can hide weak thinking.

I can make almost any system sound coherent in a document. The edges stay tidy because language lets me move past the awkward parts.

Software is less polite.

A game exposes bad timing. A workflow exposes missing state. A memory system exposes contradictions. An instrument exposes whether the interface actually supports a musical gesture.

Building removes the places where an idea was surviving on rhetoric.

The prototype is a thinking tool.

The moment something exists outside your head, it starts pushing back. That resistance is useful. It tells you which relationships are structural and which ones only sounded convincing.

This is why the site exists.

This site is a record of ideas that became tangible enough to teach me something back. Build enough things and you start to see the patterns, and the patterns let you build better things. That is how humans have built anything.

Sometimes the result is a production system. Sometimes it is a tiny browser game. Sometimes the important artifact is the rule discovered while making either one.
